O give thanks to the Lord for he is good; his love endures forever.Let the redeemed of the Lord say this–those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men. Let them sacrifice thank offerings and tell of his works with songs of joy. But he lifted the needy out of their affliction and increased their families like flocks…whoever is wise, let him heed these things and consider the great love of the Lord. excerpts from Ps. 107
The Godbold side of the family who were able made the trek to our neck of the woods. We had 26 around 3 tables laden with plentiful food. Giving thanks to our faithful provider. Cousins had crazy fun and got to know each other again. Our daughter-in-love celebrated her first Thanksgiving with us. What a precious gift God has given us in her!
Btw, did you know that nasturtium blossoms can be eaten? These colors are so vibrant!
The newest addition to our family has the double peace sign going on. His name is Malacai Shiman. And yes, I did change the spelling of his name (for you hard-core biblical spellers):) This picture was taken his first morning home. Incandescent joy beamed from his face as he woke up to brothers and sisters who whole heartedly played chase and giggled and shared toys and trikes with him. He was HOME! ‘he gathered…from east and west, north and south. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men.’
Good times in the hot tub…the bigs and littles just taking a break from all the Thanksgiving festivities.
Madame Blueberry does an outstanding job ferrying us to and fro but road trips are the bomb keeping us all safe and sound. Parking is always a challenge.
The gospel IS good news! What privilege we get to live it. ‘he lifted the needy out of their affliction and increased their families like flocks…consider the great love of the Lord.’
